Actually, I see that it's playing in Boulder at the Cinemark 16 starting Sept 25th!

I HATE horror movies. They make my skin crawl. Which is pretty ridiculous coming from an HD Critic, but I LOVE haunted houses. ADORE THEM. I find haunted houses beautiful, fascinating and thrilling. I even find some to be pretty scary, but in a good-natured happy and laughable way. Am I the only one around here who loves haunted houses, but just can't stand horror flicks?

I just watched the trailer for Paranormal Activity and I don't think there's any chance I could sit through it. Not this, not Saw, not Halloween... I once sat through Scream, which was sort of laughable, but still made me twitch and cover my eyes occasionally. And when I was a kid I went through a phase of watching The Leprechaun series, Pet Cemetery, a few Stephen King movies like IT and Misery... I dunno. I just don't dig them anymore. I guess I got lame and wussy in my old age!

I only hate horror movies because they are cheesy and lame for the most part. Even the worst movie has at least one good scene so that's what makes me watch them.
For the most part though, I think horror movies are an insult to our intelligence.

I wouldn't mind seeing this, looks kinda different, but I don't think it'll be as scary as the hype.
